The built-in photosensor activates the countdown and temporary light sources like porch lights or car headlights won't turn off the connected lights or cause the program to re-set. Rotate thumb dial to select program. Choose from 7 modes: on at dusk for 2 Hr., 4 Hr., 6 Hr., 8 Hr., dusk to dawn, always on, or always off. Countdown timing starts at dusk for the timed duration selected. Interruption-free programming prevents headlights, porch lights and street lamps from interfering with timer. Patented reverse ground-pin, when mounted to wall, unit accepts most right-angle and transformer plugs. Mounting holes on the back of the housing safely secure timer to a wall. Compatible with CFL (compact fluorescent), LED (light emitting diode), and incandescent light bulbs.
